Les 2 Alpes – on-trend, sporty & spectacular views

For a stay in one of the most vibrant resorts there is, Les 2 Alpes, in the Ecrins mountains, is the place to be.

A pioneer in the development of snowboarding in France, it radiates an aura of being particularly sports-oriented and on-trend. If you're a winter sports enthusiast, here you can do away with the seasons. With 220 kilometres of runs overlooked by a glacier that culminates at an altitude of 3,600 metres and affords 360° views across the Alps, indulge in your passion whatever the time of year.

As you whizz down the wide, open slopes, accessible to both beginners and seasoned skiers, you will be equally impressed by the high quality of the skiing and the stunning views. Are big thrills and challenges your thing? Either boarding or on skis, make a visit to “Freestyle Land”, a benchmark for riders all over the world.

Those really into freeride will head over to La Grave and the Vallons de la Meije, both accessible from Les 2 Alpes. With the snow carefully groomed all year round, the resort and its mountain peaks also provide a fabulous playground for other sports. Trail running, mountain biking, paragliding, hiking, a 9-hole golf course and rafting in the Ecrins mountains make for an original summertime après-ski experience created by a fusion of the seasons.

For a break away with friends or family - the resort has been awarded the “Famille PLUS” quality label - let our experts be your guide. Our collection of outstanding chalets and our Concierge services ensure that you can sample the very best of mountain living.

In short,

The town

Located in Isère, in the region of Oisans and the fantastic Ecrin mountains, Les 2 Alpes was one of the first ski resorts to be created in France in the 1930s. Its names comes from the joining together of mountain pastures in two villages, Vénosc to the south and Mont-de-Lans to the north. This is the route taken into the centre of the resort, snaking between the snowfront and the high street.

The resort is at the cutting edge of piste grooming all year long and for some years now the town has paid special attention to its architectural development. A way to showcase the resort and its bustling nightlife in the bars and restaurants.
